All, We have just posted multiple announcements to fill new positions within the Sustainable Fisheries Branch in Beaufort, NC. These announcements can be found on the USA Jobs website (I think this link will pull them all up):

Southeast Region Headboat Data Analyst (ZP-1515-II)
In this position, you will serve as the Southeast Region Headboat Survey Database Manager. You will perform quality control measures on collected data; provide appropriate database access and fill data requests for other government officials and public persons. You will also write reports, deliver oral presentations and perform analyses of headboat data as needed. In addition, you will perform other duties including data collection, in support of the headboat survey.

Stock Assessment Data Analyst (ZP-1515-II or III)
In this position, you will support professional research that involves preserving, conserving, and managing fish and other aquatic species populations and their habitats for ecological purposes and to benefit the public. Specifically you will: perform professional work requiring the application of mathematical and statistical methods to ecological processes; participate in stock assessments by providing support analyses and attend related workshops; prepare oral and written reports of stock assessments and related analyses; and coordinate efforts with other analysts in the Sustainable Fisheries Branch.

Stock Assessment Scientists (ZP-0482-III or IV, ZP-1529-III or IV) (multiple vacancies)
The incumbent advises on, administers, or performs professional work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical and statistical methods to ecological processes; conducts stock assessments and related analyses either as sole investigator or by participating in workshops; prepares oral and written reports of stock assessments and related analyses; develops methods to improve stock assessments, coordinating efforts with other analysts in the Sustainable Fisheries Branch; provides mathematical, statistical, and computational consulting to team members.
