Saw these fry swimming around our docks at Big Green Lake in Green Lake, WI. Fish that inhabit the lake (in order of abundance related to increasing depth): rock bass, carp, bluntnose minnow, smallmouth bass, lake trout).

Any ideas, or are they too young to identify?

I agree, looks like you have lake trout fry.

Cool, thanks for the ID. I'm not collecting them for aquarium use, was just curious as to what they were.

They school together near the rocky shoreline, interesting they're in that shallow of water when all the adults are around 80-100 feet of water right now.

The fry are in very shallow water BECAUSE the adults are in deep water. The shallows are a predation refuge for many species since larger fish can't get in to shallow water.
