I was wondering. Where does the funding of NANFA come from? Does it just come from membership dues, donations, and sales of shirts and american currents? Does the organization get research grants from the government or corporations? I was curious (I was going to make an article mentioning the importance of states allowing fish collecting to the organization and attracting members paying dues, but then i realized I am not sure how much membership affects NANFA's income).

NANFA is almost entirely supported by membership dues, with a few people making small donations beyond the dues and the annual convention making some money for the group. Rather than receive grants we give out grants, one program for Education and one for Conservation Research.

A/C has a treasurer's report every so often - you will find it informative.
