our old version of software would let us look back @ threads posted for days.
our new version seems to view content only as new every time you log in i miss the older way.
and if i do a search it does not work as well as the older search did.
is there a way for me to view new threads lets say from the past week?

Unfortunately not. You can search for posts posted within the past week but can't distinguish between ones you've read and ones you've not.

It is something Invision hasn't been able to nail down.

There is a new version of the software that I will be looking to upgrade to soon-ish. I'm sure they changed the function of it again as the Search algorithms have been updated.

Nope, a very minute portion of your annual dues goes towards paying for the software licensing and support.

Tony, I don't know if these was there before ...

Go to your User control panel by clicking on your name in the upper right, then "My Settings"

Under the "Settings" tab, goto "General Settings", then you will see "Search Settings"

Changing that should do what you want.
