As well as a dead common shiner (the sick one mentioned earlier) I found half of my 5 or 6 inch creek chub in my tank. The tail half was gone and it's belly looked chewed on. My question is who chomped the chub?
All my fish in my 55 are growing big. I have a huge bluegill, a large fat sleeper goby who tries nipping anyone who gets in his way, a big yellow perch, a couple bullheads, a big fallfish, a large goldfish, and a couple smaller fish (dollar sunfish, logperch, a small koi) in that tank. Who would have chomped a chub in half? This is especially odd as I assumed most fish swallow prey whole, not bite off chunks of it.
Who chomped the chub?

From having raised fat sleepers in the past, they are some nasty fellows. Although they don't have sharp teeth, I could see them doing this if given the right circumstances. The yellow perch would be high on the list as well in my opinion.
