Can anyone tell me for sure exactly what I have here? My guess was fathead minnow and silver jaw minnow but i'm not real good with minnow/shiner id yet. The first photo is them together and the second is a close up of the one I think is a silver jaw. Thanks a ton! -Aaron p.s. sorry for the poor quality cell phone pics!

I know that you're new and I'm not trying to be rude but this section of the forum requires location at time of post.
At the top you'll see the rule:

Rules of ID Section
Location, at least general location (state, major drainage, etc) is required for any posts in this section. Posts without location will be removed without question.

I apologize Uland. The location is Northwest Ohio the Sandusky river drainage. Thank you for pointing that out before i made that mistake again.

No need to apologize. It can be difficult to provide an ID of fish with less than perfect photos without location sometimes.

With that said, I can only agree...I see a Cyprinella and Pimephales.

Are you going out and collecting these yourself? If you are, I suggest a Peterson's Field guide. It is very helpful, though I still need to post here from time to time for a really hard to ID fish. You can get one used real cheap from amazon. Check HERE

You have a Spotfin Shiner (Cyprinella spiloptera) and a Fathead Minnow (Pimephales notatus).
