The gill flap looks like a pumpkinseed but the overall colouring looks like an Orangespot to me.

The red ear tab is very pumpkinseed. Orangespots usually have a red eye which this fish doesn't. I'd say it's a pumpkinseed with muted vertical barring.

most of the orangespots ive seen (on here and other various sources) arent that color, they are a lightish blue to whitish blue color for a background, not light green. My PB pumpkinseed had a simila coloration, that looks like a classic p-seed. Donkeyman, invest in a field guide (like the ROM Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes of Ontario)
PB for reference of color;

I am shocked that no one has stated it is an Orangespot/pumpkinseed hybrid! Seriously, looks like a pumpkinseed to me as well. Just like the ones here in PA.

I was thinking about it, but the hybrid card is always played. I just decided to agree.

Yes it is a pumpkinseed, if that was an orangespot it would be a huge one! Some times its a good idea to consider the size of the fish compared to the hands holding it.
