Caught this at Clendening Lake in Ohio bank fishing worms under a bobber, it was too hot to try much else. I have no idea what it is, I do know that Rock Bass and lots of different bluegill/sunfish are present as I caught 2-3 different species/hybrids.

I agree with mike, although ive never seen one with a yellow belly in the pictures ive seen of them, apparently warmouth can have yellow bellies (most likely determined by where the fish lives)

Definately warmouth. The ones around here are EXTREMELY yellow in the belly, might try to post a pic for you later

awesome, don't think I've ever caught one before, hence I had no idea what it was other than some sort of bluegill/sunfish

Well here is the fish that I have been catching lately (never had caught one prior to this year) and have ID'd as a warmouth.

Now I hope that I am right and these aren't just super colorful rockbass... (that would totally suck because rockbass are not supposed to be where these were caught)

thanks for confirming it mike, that is what I was going on also, but didn't remember how many rockbass had.

I caught mine a local pond where the guy stocked it with warmouth, green sunnies, bluegill and pseeds, along with some largemouth.
