Looks like I am going to be able to get out next Saturday. I am planning one heading north in the morning and sampling a few locations (depending on who wants to come along). Eventually getting up towards the Conasauga and having a snorkel in the afternoon. Anyone that wants to join is welcome to come for either part of the trip. I know several here have mentioned about getting out... this is our opportunity... let me hear back from you here, pm, or email and we will figure out the details.

I'm sure we will take plenty of photos to post a trip report. I was hoping some others would join in. I really wish I could have made it to the convenetion last year or even some of the larger get-togethers in the past to meet more NANFA folks. It would be nice to put some faces to these usernames I see on a daily basis.

Just a short report and a few photos. We had a good day. Will and I got out to some local spots near my house and dragged the seine around. Turquoise darters were found, but are all out of color now. All the other suspects were found as well. We hit a new spot and added to the species total. Not bad for staying within four miles of my house.
turquoise darter
tadpole madtom
hogsucker
yellowfin shiner
rosyface chub
bluehead chub
creek chub
gambusia (fortunately only one)
redbreast sunfish
bluegill
warmouth
white crappie
juv. bass
Then we went up to the Conasauga, and had a dip with the snorkelmeister...
The shiners were there to see what we were up to... or what we might stir up.
Y'all have heard of rainbow darters? ...well what about this, a rainbow logperch!
There were big bronze darters, that tried to hide behind the stones...
And another guy, doin' his job... flippin' 'em...
...couldn't have asked for a better day!
