I joined NANFA last evening after I was helped with the ID of a Fantail Darter. I was impressed with the fast and friendly reply to my query and the knowledge of those who helped me. The informational content of this organizations website is amazing! Also, my spouse and I have just decided to move to the Lynchburg, Virginia area in the Blue Ridge Mts so any suggestions on good fish collecting in that area would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd Elliott
Thank you for joining us at NANFA! Virginia is a very blessed state to live in esp for natives. I believe someone sent you a natureserv link. that is a start. also check out...

that site will tell you what fish are in what drainages. i believe you are in the James River Drainage. good luck with the move.

Lynchburg is a drive from me, nothing I haven't done, but I haven't spent much time in that area. I however can meet up with you in the Charlottesville area if you're interested. bumpy is right though that VA is species rich so you'll have fun here if that is what you're getting into.
