Hi folks,

Attached are images from what I call the "Travellin' Fish Show". It was developed using a NANFA Education grant and will really roll out to the masses in 2007. I thought I would post the images so people can see, and maybe start to think about how we might customize this for other watersheds (it's just a big PowerPoint slide). As you can see, information on these panels is very generic, the species widespread, the problems universal. And it's not hard for me to get the landscape scale information. In fact, that might be some research folks would want to do for themselves.

Very cool.
This is very much the same type graphics I have been working on for the Nature Center I work at. Location is the Lake Huron to Erie corridor. I like the way that this is set up and how the information flows. I would very much like to adapt this format to our exhibit graphics.

Thanks! Let me know how I can help. I'm planning on getting very involved in the Huron Watershed, and we may be able to piggyback from either end, which would be optimal. You're probably up in the Clinton, right? That's a lot of drainage covered.

For anyone reading this... They re-did the physiogeographic locations a few years back, which takes into account geology, botany and then corresponding animal communites, since the former really derive the later. I swear someone had a real sense of humor, as they named our area the "Huron Erie Lake Plain". While appropriate in name, it's even a step further as a request, as every map you see now say H.E.L.P in our region of the Muddy Madness :)

Clinton river / Rouge river / Detroit 'river'

Our offical management unit on the upper section of the Detroit is considered to be the Clinton river watershed. I'm going to send this off to some I know with the Huron / Clinton Metropark authority and see it it might also interest them to step in also. Lake Erie / Lower Huron metro park may be very interested in this.
