I mainly feed my fish freshwater (or fresh and salt) cubed foods like blood worms, brine shrimp, glassworms, etc. I like giving them variety in what i serve and get all sorts of food.

Lately I have been eyeing the saltwater food cubes and wondering if freshwater fish would eat cubes of frozen mussel, squid, reef plankton, marine cuisine, and saltwater carnivore food.

Would freshwater fish eat these too?

I don't see why not, feshwater fish will eat shrimp and other things.

Mussels and shrimps are a big hit. Baby krill are labeled "plankton" by San Francisco Bay. Squid cubes are pretty big chunks, in my opinion not really appropriate for fish under 4" or so, and I don't think they have the same nutritional value since it's nearly all muscle. I'm not familiar with the one labeled "reef plankton" unless it's the krill I was talking about.

I've always fed mine mixed foods from fresh and saltwater sources. Most tropical fish keepers feed bring shrimp, and that is a saltwater food. I think variety is the most important thing.
