I was at my favorite lunchtime fishing spot and noticed someone had put a 10 gallon fish tank with lid next to a garbage can next to the canal I was fishing at. It was there when I got done fishing and since to me if you put something next to a garbage can it means you don't want it I put it in my back seat and brought it home. I tested it and it holds water just fine. I'd like to use it as a capture tank but since it's glass and I don't have enough space in my trunk store it I know it would just get broken eventually. I'll keep it at home but the fun part will be trying to find room to set it up in my apartment and even more fun will be convincing my wife to let me....

I got a 55 the same way. Except I asked the former owner and he said yes, he was trying to throw it away.....

Scores!
I wish NANFA folks lived in VT too. I have two 29G highs I am selling cheap! No chance I will put them in the garbage though. He. He.

Pretty sure this means the fish went in the canal :(

Nice find, let's hope no one was littering fish into the canal.

I agree. Being a 10gal I would say the fish was small and hopefully made a snack for another fish.
