Mylasian Trumpet Snails are the kind that sift through the sand right? As much as I hate them if they sift the sand then I am going to employ them in a couple of my tanks. Are there any alternatives or color variations of them? Thanks

Chad

I have these in several tanks, none intentionally. They do a good job of churning the substrates, but they multiply quickly. If they become over populated add some greenside darters, Etheostoma blennioides, or the like, and they will make quick work of them.

What large ones? I have a ton in one of my tanks at my dads house. But I just have no idea how well they churn the sand because I have gravel in that tank.
