Hey everybody. My name is Peter, and I've been interested in fish and nature pretty much my whole life, but I haven't had much of a chance to do that much with native fish until somewhat recently. I've had aquariums, mostly tropical planted ones, for years, with mixed success regarding natives. My first fish were fathead minnows netted out of a lake, followed by goldfish from a neglected, freezing pond, and then two tiny bluegills from Leech Lake, one of the most interesting and beautiful lakes in Minnesota, which is filled with interesting and beautiful lakes. Anyway, recently I've gotten hooked again and I'm kind of interested in setting up a tank exclusively for native fish and invertebrates.

Welcome! If it wasn't for the winters I'd try and talk my wife into moving to Minn. Bass,Muskie,Pike and Walleye. What else do you need for fishing Nirvana?

Absolutely nothing! But you are definitely right about the winters. We're already getting snow. That leaves me with 9+ months of daydreaming about snorkeling...
