When I feed my fish worms I first roll the worm in Aqueon Tropical Flakes (something like that) to get more nutrients and variety. If I didn't do that, my fish wouldn't get any greens! Does anyone else have any ideas for either making the worm more nutritional or the actual feeding of the worm(EX. tube feeding)?
I use Magic Worm Food I picked up from Thiesen's. It came with the worm ranch I bought. Ingredients are: Grain products, plant protein products, animal protein products, grain byproducts, calcium carbonate, dicalcium carbonate. I have been feeding this to my worms and definitley have seen an increase in my worm population. I might try using spirulina powder or flakes (but I would moisten the flakes) and place it on top of their bedding to see if the worms will eat them. If not remove any that gets moldy. I go by "You are what you eat" when feeding live foods to my fish. The healthier the food the healthier the fish.
Hope this helps,
Ken
