The weather as been so nice that I've been dying to get out a little. Today I went to a small creek in Berea KY just to 'get my boots wet'. This creek usually has plenty creek chubs, silverjaw minnows, white suckers, bluntnose minnows, and Orangethroat Darters. I caught several different shiners and one really colored up Orangethroat, but for the most part it wasn't anything real exciting. I did bring home a nice silverjaw minnow. I really like silverjaws, but have had trouble keeping them in the past. I find this odd as I've kept shiners that require more specific water quality easily, but the silverjaws tend to die off.

Also, I did receive the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 for Christmas. Most of the photos on my tank build thread was taken with this camera (the photos after January). The camera is small and compact. It comes in several colors, I have the black model. I haven't taken a ton of photos yet. The LCD playback screen isn't the greatest. Photos look better once they have downloaded to your cpu. The menu's are easy to navigate. The automatic settings are decent, but flash/lighting/etc... need to be adjusted in certain circumstances. I will get much more use out of it through the warmer months to come.

I was standing in a small riffle and putting the camera underwater for the photos. The water wasn't very clear today as we've had a bit of rain recently.

The photos came out decent with the lighting conditions (cloudy) and the stained water.
