Greetings NANFA members. I wanted to say hello and that I am very excited about becoming a member of NANFA.
I have been working as a fisheries biologist in California and Oregon for close to 10 years, and I have been a sport fisherman for 20+ years, so I have a lot of experience with North American fishes. Most of my experience with North American natives is from capturing and observing fish as part of scientific studies. This included a lot of snorkeling, electrofishing, seigning, and netting.
I just recently started up a community 29 gallon with:
Batnam sunfish
Bluespotted sunfish
and
Lined topminnows
and the NANFA forums has been instrumental in providing me with advice.
I hope to post some photos at some point in the future.
Thanks.
