Theres two sections of stream by Lake Nockamixon, bucks county or in allentown, lehigh county, the confluence of the little lehigh, jordan & trout creeks near the lehigh river. GPS locations are from Google Earth.

Below dam 40*28'03.79" N 75*10'53.25" W

Allentown Confluence- 40*36'02.00" N 75*27'34.50" W

Wow Penn has a pretty big list of endangered and threatened. I won't be taking any fish home with me anyway. Now if we run across any crayfish that I can't find in NJ I may have to take one or 2 home. You planning on doing any fishing or just netting?

Yes I'll be bringing a rod along just in case. PA has had big problems for along time with pollution from industry & acid rain ruining fisheries.

Thank you for those links exasperatus2002. The one on collecting had the legal information I'd been seeking for several days.

Your welcome. Have you ever sampled the swatara? I was just up that way for my wifes hs reunion. Its incredible the damage its done with the help of hurricane irene. I saw one farm where it flooded, destroyed the barn with 4 antique cars in it & pushed the rubble into the road & someone elses drive way was washed away near fredericksburg.

Not yet, but it's on my to do list. I'm new to this. Just as a fishermen (looking for dinner) I've been spending a fair amount time along Snitz Creek, and Quittapahilla Creek. Went up to Swatara State park once, but my wife didn't like tromping through underbrush so we went fossil collecting instead. But at this time of year I have to take a machete to be able to walk along the banks anywhere.

I haven't done any fishing since the hurricane followed by flooding. Fredricksburg got hit pretty hard, and one of my favorite spots on the Quittie is still blocked off due to the road being washed away. Hopefully I can talk my wife into letting me get another hobby. Then maybe I can go out fishing for an aquarium.
