Any ideas on what this little guy could be? Approx. 1 inch long. Found in Pohick Creek, Lorton, VA.

Looks like a Common shiner Luxilus cornutus.

Yes, looks a lot like the juvenile Common Shiners I collected in N.Hampshire a couple years ago. The light color stripe has a rather nice
neon like glow in tank lighting.

That was a fun trip, sadly we didn't catch anything too worthwhile for you then. Now I know a place for red bellies and a very good place for longnose and blacknose that I wish I knew of then.
