For an Illinois creek it's good to have both 19 speecies present, and obvious reproductive success.

Thanks for posting this Matt and Bruce I've sampled streams not terribly far from this area (outside of DeKalb) and can only describe them as "dead". In one hour sampling at one location, we found a single crayfish - no fish and no mollusks.
