I was just looking at my new grass pickerel's that I got a week ago and I thought one had ran into something and scraped a scale up. But on closer inspection I noticed one long stringy thing on his tail fin and his back. Then I looked at the other one I have and it has a longer one that seems to be moving hooked on his snout or top of his head what ever that part is. They look white and also look like a white worm. So how do I get rid of these things that are insulting my new fish.

I noticed a leech once, and I put the fish in an aerated bucket with a tablet of "Fluke-Tabs" for a day. The next day, after looking at him in the specimen container and seeing no leech, I put him in a tank and never saw the leech again. I have also used this stuff successfully for anchor worm.
As Matt put it on the forum, "leeches suck". Ha ha.

Leaches gone. I added about three teaspoons full of salt per gallon. Despite this these stubborn leaches still persisted to live. So as gently as I could I manualy plucked the leaches off with tweezers. Bad invention leaches.
