Here's what I need from all of you. Permission to use photos!!!! I haven't decided if I have to use photos like "fish in your hand" or profile photos like Uland and others do. I will definently credit that person for the photo in use. I know several of you: Uland, Todd, Lance, Blake, and much more take very good photos. Please let me know if I may use your photos to profile the native of KY.
Also, I'd like a high res NANFA logo as I will put it on my links page and I actually plan on my site to be a lead-in site to NANFA.
Also, if anyone has any photoshop talent, I could use a banner-like logo to put on the main page. I was thinking a photo of a Kentucky creek/river with the logo 'kycreeks.com' over it, or something more creative with the river/logo/fish...or something like that. Please let me know if your good with photoshop and wouldn't mind helping me and we'll discuss ideas.
Let me know if you'll help, thanks.

I have only one rule about photo use...well one rule and one request. The rule is anyone can use these for educational purposes only. I don't allow any use for profit. I will work with people if they pay NANFA directly or in some cases governments have a budget and want to pay so I ask they join NANFA or donate directly.
I request that I not receive photo credit. I'd much prefer that NANFA receive credit and not me personally.
I do get concerned when websites use the NANFA name and logo though. I'm not sure how this has been worked out in the past but this as good a time as any to openly talk about use of the NANFA logo/name. Obviously NANFA needs to protect it's name and should be careful how it's used. If for instance the website allows comments, it would have to be monitored to prevent nasty stuff being associated with the NANFA name. I dunno, anyone have an example of how this was handled in the past?

Hey Josh, this sounds great.

Thanks for chimming in Uland, as I was really hoping to use some of your profile photos.
1st. I will not be selling anything, I want my site to be for educational purposes only. I will credit your photos any way you ask.
2nd. I really only wanted the logo to use on a 'links' page. As in, clicking the logo to redirect to NANFA. My site will NOT have a forum and will not allow for comments. I do plan to mention NANFA as a source of more/additional information and I want to promote NANFA via this site. I'm not, in any way, trying to compete with NANFA or anything like that. My desire to be the KY regional rep should show that. It was actually the information about being the KY rep that made me think about doing the website as an outreach tool for NANFA. I do not have to have the logo, I just thought it would look better.
If requested, I can leave NANFA out completely. However, promoting NANFA within KY is kind of my reasoning for doing the site.

The NANFA website has a regional outreach page which shows each state with reps individually. There used to be some regional collecting reports posted there (still there) why not use this area to post your state's fish photos, outreach reports, river clean up reports etc. It's already there and maybe would get more traffic to the website. Thanks for chimming in Uland, as I was really hoping to use some of your profile photos.

Oh I'm not suggesting that you're selling something or starting a forum. But the world can't have too many fishy forums in my opinion

I also know you'd represent NANFA in the best possible way. But you know....if anyone could use the NANFA name and logo, things could get a little difficult to manage. Like...if I had a political blog with the NANFA logo off in the corner...let me tell you, NANFA does not want any representation on some political blog, especially one I constructed:blink:

This is really cool Josh!. I like the habitat shots, it's not all about the fish, but the streams as well.
