that picture looks just like the ones I found that are long ears. BTW, where in waukesha co?

Hey Corey, I'd say you have a juvenile Northern Longear Sunfish.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but my friend told me they hybridize with green and orange-spotted sunfish. It was in the Mukwanago river.
