I've been waiting for permission from a friend of mine to post these pictures. He came down to my area for a crayfish hunting trip right before leaving for a summer trip to Indonesia so I had to wait awhile. He has a very nice Nikon DSLR with a macro lens so these are some of the nicest pictures I've ever seen.

Cambarus bartonii 1

Cambarus bartonii 2

Those are my 2 favorites.

He was taking pictures of everything he saw and he took these 2 awesome pictures of a dragonfly and spider

Dragonfly

Spider

Yeah I love the pictures.I can at least take credit for catching the crayfish. I should post the pictures I took of one of those crayfish using my 8 megapixel waterproof Olympus. They aren't bad at all but compared to his they just don't compare.

Nice shots! The spider is the Six-spotted Fishing Spider, Dolomedes triton. The dragonfly is a skimmer, Libellula sp.; I recognize it but can't think of the species name off hand.

I took some pictures of a similar spider using my camera phone a few weeks ago.It was a greyish blue color that I've never seen in that species of spider. I wish they had come out better.
