What's the leafy plant called? A friend of mine brought some back from a sampling trip from some central TN springs a few weeks back. It did great and then all of a sudden crashed on me, the stems just melted on up.

Great shot of the pugnose! I know it's sick, given the rest of the fishes in consideration there, but that is my FAVORITE!

The guys with the black stripe through the nose are most likely weed shiners (picture098afa1.jpg). You can confirm this by looking at the anal fin and seeing if there's coloration on the final 4 rays. That's telltale.
The rest aren't that obvious, well besides the bluenose and flagfin![]()
Matt the plants are either "Hygrophylia" or "Rotala". Maybe when NativePlanter's life settles down a bit we can ask her for a more positive ID, if no one else has an idea beyond that generic identification.
