May draw in a completely different crowd as well. So far, on the web, the only places for people to talk about mussels is on a research forum, which is a great format, but I can see that as prohibitive to both amateurs and researchers alike for engaging discussions. There seem to be a lot of people interested in mussel conservation, but are intimidated to ask questions in a format like that, as we all know, some of those with advanced letters take themselves a little too seriously

I'd be glad to moderate. I'm sure Matt Ashton would as well. Ever get Jeffro out of the field, he would definately be a particpant, as would Jeremy Tiemann.
