These Killis are quite common in Tamiami Canal, I've caught alot of small Gulf Killifish/Mummichog in saltwater areas in Everglades City but none of them have the dorsal spot like these from the Tamiami Canal.

Is this a Marsh Killifish (Fundulus confluentus)?

Yeah, I'd say it's the Marsh Killifish with the relatively thin vertical barring and some spotting. The dorsal ocellus is a male trait, and you can find it in some other Fundulus species too. Here's a picture of the species from Tony Terceira:

Yep, those are confluentus.

Menhinick's 1991 NC fishes book says that in F.confluentus the FEMALES have a rear dorsal spot and in F. majalis and F. luciae the MALES have the rear dorsal spot. Is this correct?

Aha! Rohde et al 2009 says the same thing, so it MUST be true, at least on this forum.
