California Blackworm Co. (http://aquaticfoods....Blackworms.html) is now offering FREE SAMPLES of freeze-dried blackworms by mail. These are the same worms they sell live or frozen, cultured in CA in fish-free ponds using commercial feed so they are not exposed to fish parasites (like blackworms harvested from trout farms).

Request your free sample of freeze-dried worms on the California Blackworm Forum at: http://forum.simplyd...esno-California.

I just got done ordering my "live" CA blackworms today. This year is another spawning year(only every 2nd or 3rd year) for me. My fish will start laying eggs in two weeks and I will have fry in three weeks and they will be up and free swimming a week after that. Like clockwork. My fish are already beginning to show color and spawning behavior. The time is now,.for those of us, just thought I'd pass it along.

Just received my free sample today. Fast shipping, generous portion for price, and totally free, even shipping. Dace, sunfish and the rest of the gang seem to like them. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the link Gerald. I received mine yesterday. My fish are loving them. I pinned a cube beneath a small rock at the bottom of the tank and my darters swarmed it and then the shiners got in on the action. It was gone before I had a chance to pull the camera out. Next time! I might have to invest in some of these.

I got mine and certainly the fish loved them... but I had a hard time keeping the cube pinned under a rock... maybe i needed a bigger rock... the bluehead chubs kept tearing a the cube and shaking their heads as they backed up... but the darters dashed in and got some smaller pieces.
