Difference in sex in Mosquito Fish

So, is it as easy as guppies and platies and mollies and what not or is there some other trick? If it is the same, then somehow I ended up with 6 females and thats it.

Yes, it is as easy as the others. These the ones you get from the LFS?

males-small sedate
females-big mean killers that fin nip anything
those 6 females will give birth and will have a few male babies if you save um

Ok then, I have a tank full of mean, nasty females.

Yeah Drewish, these are the ones I got from the LFS.

Funny story... I looked at one the other day and thought it had a bright red coloration in its tail, so I thought maybe it was a colorful male, but it turns out my crayfish got a hold of its tail and it escaped.

I have one BIG female that looks like she's ready to pop. I'm thinking about raising some to get a male or 2 out of it but I'm not sure.
