Not only does Tennessee have more freshwater fishes than Alabama, it's also a lot cheaper to read a book about them!

The 2002 edition is available as a pdf. Updates and new species accounts are in the works.

Enjoy!

How do you get a signed pdf copy?
:
75 megs or so... mega download!
My paper copy is falling apart. Having the PDF on my computer may make for easier access.
FREE. Amazing.

Awesome, now I can read Dave's book. I remember when he was still putting it together. I spent 7 years working on Saganaga Lake up on the border where the Etniers have their cabin. I went fishing for lakers with him a few times...he knows where a lot of good spots are. If I remember right, he rediscovered the snail darter that was supposed to be extint or somthing. Or maybe he was the one that described the species. I don't really remember to well, that was back when the only native fish I knew anything about were the ones that I liked to eat. Thanks for the link to his book!

Did anyone else notice random words missing throughout the book?

Some of the UT Press folks said the library folks were running into a few problems during scanning and making the pdf version.

Is the text in this pdf searchable, or is it a scanned picture of the pages?
I have hard copy of the 1993 edition. Is there much additional info in this 2002 edition?

I can't believe anyone hasn't jumped on the fact Ben said "updates coming soon". This is my only Fishes of .... book that I have kept up the best I can making distribution, systematic, and taxonomic updates too. It's a mess inside.

"Soon" may be ambitious, but work will start in earnest this summer.
