I would love to collect some baby longnose gar i know of one place thats full of adults but i never see any babies around at all. i acutally have some florida gar coming tommorrow. longnoses are one of my favorite gar species

They are notoriously hard to keep. They are jumpy and get huge. But if you feel you can handle that, then watch the surface of shallow water for stick like figures. Netting them should be easy, considering I've caught them in my hands.

I know of a good spot in Alabama but the bad part its extremly dangerous terrain getting to them. its right below a dam and if they cut the turbines on while your below it you wouldnt have much time to get out at all
