My Bluespots got TB a couple of years ago. I spent a ton of money of meds that I read had worked in some cases. They recovered, but occasionally would get sores on their heads... They reproduced during that time, so I guess they were dealing okay.
Recently they have all died off. Given that they were about 4 years old it makes sense. Now one of the offspring of these fish has a funky knob at the base of one of his pectoral fins. It is white with a little red around the fin and looks kind of bumpy.
I can't get him to stay still for a pic or to even see it clearly.
What are your thoughts?

It would be easier to determine/diagnose, with a reference picture if you could get one. Doesn't have to be a clear shot of the fish, just the infected part. My current guess is some sort of tumor, but I can't be 100% sure without a picture. Surely someone with more experience than me will drop by this thread and give you an answer. Does it happen to look like this by chance?

Could be many things, but Mycobacteria is certainly a possibility. I have seen Myco-infected cichlids with a pinkish lump at the pectoral fin base, and sometimes they stop using that fin.
