Ive been keeping fishes of all kinds for a long time, Natives for only about 5 years or so, expert at nothing, just a hobbyist that enjoys forums including my own, and talking with other hobbyists about keeping fish.

Welcome to the Forum... there are lots of people here that are willing to share there experiences... and lots of us are "just a hobbyist" as well, including myself... but the more I learn the more I want to learn about our Native Fishes.

And if you enjoy your time here, please click on the NANFA Homepage link above, and consider actually joining NANFA and supporting out mission... the appreciation, study and conservation of the continent's native fishes.

Thanks Steve, i think it best relates my inner self :)

Thanks for the welcome Erica and Michael i only discovered Natives as fish to study about 5 years ago, but since have been able to catch a lot of my own or get some from other hobbyist that were out of my range. Right now im trying to get a couple of Mud sunfish, and red eye bass, The quest continues, :)

Red eye bass, as in Rock Bass or Coosa Bass? If you want Rock Bass, come on down to KY and I'll take you to Buck Creek....loaded with them!
