Hello all. I am an avid fisherman in Brooklyn NY and the other day I woke up to go fishing and found this fish on the Hood of my car.. any idea what it is? Someone must not like me ;(

I have read conflicting information as to if the John Dory was found in the Americas or not, further reading shows the American John Dory is a seperate species. Here is a picture of it. The silvery color makes it look a bit closer but it has spots unlike your fish.

Holy crap. The spotted pic does look like my fish.. I don't know but someone could have bought it at a fish market then dumped it..

But mine didn't have spots and the other looks a bit more olive to be mine. Do you think this is it?
