interesting day at cass pond

Interesting day swimming at cass pond (I uploaded some pics from their but have more to upload tomarrow or such). i swam out towards a grassy point and soon had all sorts of fish swarming around me. perch, bluegill, golden shiner. then a big pickerel moved in and swam off to hide when i looked at it, bass moved in,

I saw one pumpkinseed on a nest and watched it chase off a much larger bass. It seemed to prefer chasing off bass to other species.I

saw a painted turtle that swam off when i looked at it, and a huge snapping turtle that chased me. (no photos of him as I was fleeing).

I saw his big head and paws coming towards me and I backed off, he kept following, I went to deeper water and he started rising up off the bottom towards me. I turned and booked it swimming about five feet away hoping I got away. Looked back at the debris I stirred up and didn't see him, then looked down, he was directly below me and turning to move away from me. He kept up with me fleeing and caught up with me. I have no idea why it chased me and why it turned away after.
