Recently my old Peterson Field Guide book (the one that has a hybrid sunfish picture on the cover) started to fell apart and I was thinking to buy a new one but what edition I should get?

Thanks, Michael. I was really wondering why I even bother checking in here anymore. This is why.

Yes, it is an excellent update to the old edition... improved plates for some fishes... a lot more up to date species splits... and much improved range maps.
