These were captured and released in Northern Tenneessee (Cumberland River Drainage). Any help would be greatly appreciated in identification.

Seeing the tail / caudal spot would help.
And the dorsal.

A poor view of the fins doesn't help, but maybe striped shiner, Luxilus chrysocephalus? That would account for the reddish brown in the caudal, and a lemony lateral stripe, and the dorsal and lateral scale shape looks right.
