It's a bit weird but here is what happens. I hit "start new topic" or "reply" and it loads up, gets to a certain point, then the whole window freezes, internet explorer completly shuts down, and I have to log in again. This only happens on this computer. I have to wait for the page to load, but stop it before everything is loaded, and then it lets me type and then I hit the post button and it works. I'm starting to think it's the attachment manager on the bottom. Is there a way to make that optional? The computer is hooked up to dial up (one problem it has, which i think contributes) and I use internet explorer. Firefox would take around 4 hours to download on this crappy dial up. On my computer at my mom's though it works fine, on IE or Firefox, but thats also a cable modem. I don't know if anybody has any idea what's going on with it. For right now I have no problem hitting the stop button at the right time to post, I was just seeing if there was a way around it, and maybe see if other people have the same problem.

I was looking around and there is no way to turn off the attachment feature via my controls. What browser and what version are you using?

I use IE 5 on that computer. It really doesn't bother me, the computer is slow anyways, so I can't view pictures. I don't really get on it often. Oh well. I'll just blame it on IE and Bill Gates.

That could be why. The new features of the board might be optimized for IE6+.

That's probably it then. Oh well, on that computer it would take like 3 hours to load up the new version, so I'll just go with the ghetto way of posting. Thanks for helping me solve the problem.

Firefox takes 2 hours to download on that computer. It runs on old, slow dial up. Being a former computer nerd/website owner I know the greatness of firefox. In fact, I'm using it right now. It would just take too much time on that computer, and I don't have the time to do it, maybe my girlfriend does or something. I hate internet explorer too, so I guess I'll just deal when using the junker.
