Today I visited big escambia creek located at county road 5 (31.3112,-87.3734). I was hoping to collect rough shiner there. The water flowing in the creek is almost on the standstill, not much movement. This creek is quite deep, I think over 4 feet. Unfortunately, I could not get any rough shiner; caught mostly weed shiner. I saw quite a lot of weed shiners in the water.
I'm just hoping that someone in this forum could direct me to some known site where I could just collect rough shiner, maybe somewhere near mobile or Baldwin county. Thanks and appreciate very much.
