Raleigh Aquarium Soc Monthly Meeting: 7:30pm on Thursday, January 3, 2013.

Eric Hanneman will present the Janaury 3 program on his experiences living aboard the NOAA research vessel Nancy Foster for 3 weeks last summer, where he and other researchers explored the Baltimore Canyon on the continental shelf off the Maryland coast. http://deepwatercanyons.wordpress.com/

RAS Monthly Meetings are First Thursdays 7:30 to 9:30 pm at the NCSU Veterinary School in Raleigh. From the main lobbly, go downstairs (under the whale) past the library and thru two double doors. South Theater is the first room on the right. Maps and directions are on the RAS website. Monthly meetings are free and open to everyone -- We hope you can join us.

ALSO: Our 28th Carolina Aquarium Workshop (six speakers, auction, raffle, vendor displays, native fish field trip, etc) will be Feb 15-17 at the State Fairgrounds, James Martin Bldg, just across Blue Ridge Rd from the Vet School. Need a place to stay? Ramada Inn on Blue Ridge Road (a few blocks from the James Martin Bldg) is offering rooms for $79 for CAW attendees.

Extremely cool, Gerald, enjoyed reading the narrative at the link you provided. Would that i could drive down to North Carolina tomorrow to see the pics, but thanks for sharing!
