In three minutes browsing I found a story of a fisherperson (lady) landing a "huge minnow." Riiiiiight, I thought. But 38" and 16 lbs definitely qualifies as Huge compared to the minners I catch. It's a fish story, but unlike some of those long/tall stories I hear down at the bait shop, this one has a photo.
And who could pass up an article entitled "Creepin, blastit wonner or On the Misidentification of Common Argulus of Freshwater Fish" ?
Or "Tetraploid origin of the karyotype of catostomid fishes" ?
There's 11,000 items referenced / scanned / linked .... 11,000 !!!!
Put a bookmark for the Minckley Library on your browser. When you're trying to find some obscure or old reference, this might just be the gold mine.
Very neat. Thanks indeed to the folks who did the hard work to make this available.
