Convention room and ride sharing

I couldn't find a room/ride sharing thread, sorry if this is in the wrong place or not the correct way to approach this. I figured anybody could use this to find people to share costs with.

For my sake, if anybody has extra space for two people in their room/cabin that would be great or if anyone would like to carpool from Virginia. I am located in Richmond, and could meet anywhere on the way to the convention and provide assistants with gas.

Well I just found out that the person I was going to be coming with regrettably won't be able to make it. I'm in Blacksburg VA and I'm not sure what my lodging situation is going to look like (probably will be staying at el cheapo motel 6 nearby or something unless someone wants to split a room). I'd be happy to drive the remainder if someone wants to split gas. Probably only have room for one person since I'm pretty serious about collecting gear and I have a small SUV, but just wanted to throw this out there...
