A coworker's son brought some darters he caught in the creek behind his house to the aquarium in my office. I used my cellphone to record some video of their activity. Thanks to Brian Wagner for pointing out these were redspot and not redfin darters. There are a few exceptionally colored males in there!

Thanks for posting the impressive video... this is one of my favorite darters, or his next of kin. I saw a breeding male down in AL near Double Springs, i cannot remember the site's name off hand, Natural Bridge? and the male was guarding a massive fine gravel low profile mound... chasing everybody off of it. I caught one and Ided it with Scott Mettee's Bama book sitting on a park bench. Whipleei? I think they did a split not long ago. Say Hi to Brian Wagner, he hosted a most excellent Arkansas NANFA convention some year's ago. Our mascot fish was the impressive Arkansas Saddled Darter. Another fav by one of our camping attendees was the Yoke Darter. Lots of cool stuff in your waters. Keep posting.
:)
