I've been feeding my green sunfish random earth worms, when available. I do find it pretty odd that the worms try crossing my cement driveway and make it real easy for me. Anyway, when I approached the tank this mourning, I see an earth worm moving around in my tank. The sunfish was messingwith it. I always make sure the fish eat what I put into the tank. I fed this one worm about 20 hours ago, and no other worms for the last few days, before. The sunfish is about 4 plus inches. I watched him gobble the worm the day before. He must have spit it out at solme point. My question is, how could this worm be that active after being underwater for 20 hours?

I have to dig it out of the gravel and cut it in half. The sunfish then ate it, again.

I've seen them live in barebottom tanks for weeks after being fed. This isn't a surprise. At least this particular uneaten food item doesn't rot in your tank and ruin your WQ. +1 for feeding live worms.
