Caught in the upper Rouge River in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I've tried my best to ID these fish, thanks for the help!!
Fathead minnow? They were sampled there in the section I was fishing. I noted the herring-bone black lines above the lateral black stripe.
Blacknose dace, with a creek chub (it was deep hooked while micro fishing):
Rainbow darter

Hmmm... looking at the pictures of the suspected blacknose dace again and I do not notice the black stripe that is supposed to pass through its eye. I've never seen a pearl dace before... could it be??

I believe the first is a creek chub notice black on lip, black dorsal spot and caudal spot.

I've been eyeing images of Iowa darters and it appears the dorsal fin patterning is quite close to that of Iowa darter. But I know Iowa darters have a slimmer profile.

It's definitely a rainbow darter Michael.

That fish has the classic reverse facing trident on the caudal peduncle typical of rainbows.
