Hey Everyone, I'm new to the native fishkeeping hobby. I have just set up my first NA native species tank in my office. It's a 75 gallon tank with 1 bluegill and 3 green sunfish in it currently. These are all fish that I have caught out of a local lake here. I'm looking to put a yellow or black bullhead in here but so far have only been able to catch channel cat. The stocklist in this tank may change as time goes by and I learn more about native fish but I'm definitely loving natives more and more as time goes by. If I ever break down my other two tanks, I may go completely native, who knows... Anyways, I'm here to learn and contribute as best as I can. Anyone local around me that could help me out with some prime places to go to collect different species of sunfish would be much appreciated. I'm trying to find a good place with longear sunfish right now. I live about 10 miles north of 64 about 15 minutes from the IN border. So, any areas around me where I could collect some of the smaller sunfish species would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi! I'm new to this forum myself, although I've kept native fishes on and off since childhood (which was a very long time ago). I've also been bitten by the native bug and recently converted my saltwater tank into a native tank.

I'm not familiar with your area at all, but you may also want to check with your local aquarium club (if there is one) for other native-fish keepers. Good luck with your setup!
