And what about this one dear colleagues? This one was found dead at the very same piece of the canal (it is all in my backyard actually) where I have most of the fun given the variety. About 2.5 inch, seems same coloration as the other Bluegill I just posted. Thoughts?

Mouth seems too large proportionally to be a Bluegill, other than that I can't say much, though I'm getting Warmouth/Green vibes. Do you have a picture of a more lively one? Fins in particular would help.

The mouth is too large to be a bluegill
Green sunfish or warmouth.. Hard to tell with out better pictures.

I dont think its a green sunfish since they are not found in southern Florida so I would say its a warmouth.

Warmouth. Pattern evident in vertical fins, on flank and opercular area. Green sunfish does not show such even in death.

Upon comparison with the warmouth in my tank I'd second this.
