While I was out collecting grass shrimp and gambusia I caught some juvenile sunfish. I was dipnetting in a muddy gully next to our crawfish field south of Crowley in South Louisiana. I think they are both green sunfish but my dad thinks they are orange spotted sunfish. I am certain they are greens because I catch adults all the time in the crawfish traps, but I've also seen choupique(bowfin) and yellow cats in there so there's no telling what else is in there. Also in the gully I've caught garfish, sailfin mollies, a couple small bluegils, grass shrimp, gambusia, common shiners, and these juvenile sunfish. So I'm hoping one of y'all can give a positive ID, thanks in advance!
