Starting a tank by accident. I've kept freshwater tanks off and on over the years with great pleasure and satisfaction. A few weeks ago, while doing maintenance on an in-ground swimming pool, I rescued a 2" red eared slider hatchling from the skimmer.
Now Sundae (the turtle's name) shares a 29 gallon tank with 11 minnows, 4 orange throated darters, two crayfish and a small banded sculpin.
We're all getting a great deal of pleasure watching Sundae learn to fish while we learn to manage the tank.
Thanks in advance for the help we're going to find here.
